Bluepoint Linux Users Elite (BLUE) in cooperation with the Ateneo de Manila University Department of Information Systems and Computer Science (DISCS) and Bluepoint Foundation celebrated Software Freedom Day with the rest of the world last September 18, 2010 at the Leong Hall Auditorium, Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan Avenue, Loyola Heights, Quezon City.
More than 500 participants attended the free plenary and technical sessions, with people lining up for registration as early as 8:30 AM. Linux distributions were showcased by the Bayanihan Linux team and Malaya Digital at their respective booths. A home made Freedom Toaster was used by the latter to dispense Linux DVDs for interested attendees during lunch break and after the whole day program.
